Muizenberg is a historical bathing area which has its own special charm. The little coastal town is situated directly by the sea and has a wide beach which stretches over kilometres and where every day in the season those who enjoy swimming and numerous surfers frequent it. From here you have the best starting point for a tour around the Cape Peninsula and you can follow the sun all day long and therefore get the best sunny conditions. Just a few kilometres away you will find those holiday destinations such as Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simons Town with the world famous penguin colony on Boulders Beach. It is only 44 km away from the Cape Point Natural Park from where you can follow the coastal road via Scarborough, Kommetjie, Hout Bay, Llandudno and Camps Bay to Cape Town (Clifton, Bantry Bay and Sea Point).
